Japanese banking giant Nomura has sub-let around 10% of its 554,000 sq ft City headquarters on the bank of the River Thames, CoStar News can reveal.

Nomura, advised by Gerald Eve, is understood to have signed two deals to sub-let 55,000 sq ft to two tenants at its 1 Angel Lane base.

Alternative investment management firm Man Group has taken around 40,000 sq ft on the fifth floor of the 10-floor development. The building is next door to Man Group’s existing London headquarters, Riverbank House where it has been running at full capacity for some time.

Separately, payment systems company VocaLink has taken 15,000 sq ft on the part-ninth floor.

Nomura, which will continue to occupy close to 500,000 sq ft in the building, launched the surplus space to the market last summer, quoting rents in the mid-£60s per sq ft.

Gerald Eve advised Nomura; BNP Paribas Real Estate acted for Man Group.
