Blackstone is set to sign US entertainment giant Disney at Lacon London, its refurbished 215,000 sq ft building in the heart of Midtown, CoStar News understands.

Market sources said Disney’s pioneering digital production division Industrial Light and Magic is set to sign for 50,000 sq ft on the ground, first and second floors.

The rent is thought to be around £70 per sq ft.

The building is closing in on being fully leased with Disney joining Argus, Kilburn & Strode, Arriva and Exterion Media at the building. It is thought that just over 30,000 sq ft remains available for lease.

Architects Sheppard Robson and interior designers Morey Smith led the redesign of the building, which included a refurbished reception with a Benugo café and a soft seating business lounge along with nGrade A office space throughout and a panoramic roof garden terrace.

Industrial Light and Magic was originally created by George Lucas to pioneer digital production on the Star Wars films.

JLL and Savills are joint letting agents.

Blackstone declined to comment.
